WHERE?
We provide adult dog training and puppy training, at your home and out and about, for owners in Insch, Oldmeldrum, Inverurie, Alford, Kemnay, Kintore, Westhill, Peterculter, Banchory, Torphins, Aboyne and surrounds. If you live outside these areas, I can often still help, please ask. If I can’t come to you, I will do my best to find you someone who can.
Remote consults are available UK wide via Zoom.
Why?
From giving your puppy the best start, to teaching your adult dog essential life skills, reward based training is a great way to spend quality time with your dog, learn to understand one other and improve your bond, all at the same time as achieving your training goals. Well-structured, enjoyable training has the added bonus of leaving your dog mentally tired and relaxed.
How?
I am a strong advocate for science based, humane training methods, which motivate behaviour change using a combination of prevention and management of unwanted responses, and the judicious giving and withholding of rewards. Painful physical corrections or tactics designed to frighten or intimidate will not be used. As a PACT member, I happily work within their Code of Practice.

What Does it Cost?
We will always try to be clear about our prices, nobody likes unexpected costs. Fees for one-off private training sessions are £67 per hour if I attend in person, or £50 per hour if we meet online.
There are discounted rates for pre-paid packages of multiple sessions – because in my experience, regular coached, supported practice is the most effective way to get great results. Discounted rates for packages are £60 per hour for in-person coaching. Packages also include support by email, office hours Monday - Friday, so you can ask those burning questions and keep things running smoothly, between sessions.
We will let you know before you book, if there will be any additional charges for travel outside our standard area.

A 1.5 hour session, your puppy has arrived, and we will focus on smart puppy parenting, covering socialisation, toilet training, puppy biting, chewing, sleep routines and any specific concerns you might have
If time, we will also begin teaching the puppy to respond to their name and to come when called

Puppy Life Skills – PUPPY POWER PACKAGE
A 1.5 hour Puppy Primer consult (see above)

Continued support for day to day puppy raising, life skills training such as leaving things found on the floor, grooming without eating the brush or your hands, and walking nicely on the lead.
All 4 sessions to be taken within an 8 week period

Puppy Life Skills - PUPPY PRO PACKAGE
A 1.5 hour Puppy Primer consult (see above)
Five additional 1 hour coaching sessions

Continued support for day to day puppy raising, as well as putting life skills training into practice during vet visits, walks, car travel, greeting people with 4 paws on the floor, and any other requirements for your specific puppy and situation.
All 6 sessions to be taken within a 12 week period.

Adult Life Skills 1-2-1 Training
It is never too late to start training. Each dog is an individual and my expertise lies in factoring into the training plan your dog's lifestyle, favourite motivators and breed specific drives, as well as your priorities. No two client - dog teams are ever the same, and so you will always get a plan aimed at meeting the specific needs of you and your dog.
Reward led life skills training is particularly beneficial for the adult rescue dog, building confidence and helping dog and owner to understand and trust one another and form a bond.
Pre-emptive training programmes can also be designed to prepare your dog for changes such as the arrival of a new baby or a new pet, or a change of circumstance such as an impending period of post-operative confinement, a change in their owner's mobility or a move to a different environment. Preparing your dog for these events can reduce the likelihood of behaviour problems developing.
